Starting June 1st to December 31st 2014, the Media Investigative Center carries out a project called “Public Funds in Romania – corrupt tenders, mismanagement and theft “, whose goal is to expose and explain, through investigative reporting, the growing number of incorrect practices in spending public money, be it Romanian or EU funds. The project is carried out in partnership with Freedom House Romania and Expert Forum Romania within a grant of the U.S. Department of State, through the United States Embassy in Bucharest.
The stories reported under this project represent exclusively the vision of their authors, the Media Investigative Center journalists, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the US Department of State or the American Government. The partners and sponsors of this grant are in no way liable for these stories. The whole responsibility for them belongs to the Media Investigative Center.
